Homeless Children Education Fund Art Program

Providing Hope through Learning

In 1999, The Homeless Children Education Fund was established to advance the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County. In accordance with the organization’s mission various workshops and programs were developed to help support these youths.

The organization’s summer and afterschool programs provide students an opportunity to discover their full potential as learners and citizens through daily on-site programming led by highly qualified teachers and volunteers who work with students on homework, literacy, and creative projects.

Students are provided expressive outlets to encourage; Positive Relationships & Environments, Improved School Performance and Preventing Academic Setbacks.
