Saleem Ghubril is a community activist, mentor, pastor, and executive director of the Pittsburgh Promise. The Pittsburgh Promise invigorates the entire community and is creating a highly qualified workforce that will meet the needs of local employers, both now and in the future, by awarding scholarships to further our students’ education.

Over the last three years, Saleem has helped lead more than 3,000 students into college through the Pittsburgh Promise. “This is an amazing program and I am honored to be a small part of it,” says Saleem. “I’ve been given a gift: the ability to help provide opportunity to our next generation, a way to help all of Pittsburgh, one kid, one promise at a time. I am blessed.”
