Bill knows Pittsburgh residents can’t afford to get the flu, but many also can’t afford the proper vaccinations to avoid it. So Bill, together with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, UPMC Health Plan and the McKeesport Hospital Foundation, provide flu vaccinations for thousands of people in the community every year. The flu vaccines are distributed by the Mon River Fleet Flu Initiative serving Braddock, Clairton, Duquesne, McKeesport and White Oak. For those in need, the service is free, and in return creates a healthier community.
